About the Team

Adrian Avendano

Adrian Avendano Monterrubio, Founder and CEO, @amonter5:

CS graduate from Tec de Monterrey. Studied in London and Copenhagen. Has been coding for over 10 years, in Java and Objective-C.

Has worked all over the world. In 2008, he quit to start his first company, an events based social network that was designed to hack the way people socialize. In 2010, he co-founded a hackerspace in Galway, Ireland, 091Labs.

Apart from coding, approaching strangers and startup life, Adrian loves midnight running, veggie food and speaking French.

Ellen Dudley

Ellen Dudley, Founder and COO, @meetforeal:

Biomedical Engineer from NUI Galway, Ireland. Previously designed and marketed products for the Biomedical Industry. Has worked in Ireland, Mexico, Germany, and has lived in Holland, South Africa and Zambia.

In 2009, she quit her job to start an events based social network with Adrian and started researching how people interact. She is Head of Product, designer and front-end coder.

Outside of conversations, design and startups, she loves speaking on stage, living in new places, and giving herself a hard time about not meditating enough.

Nik Skripko

Nik Skripko, CTO, @offatthef:

Studied CS and Software Engineering at NUI Maynooth. Placed 1st in Ireland in the IEEExtreme 5.0 with his team 0xc0ffee in 2011. Came 3rd in Irish finals of the Microsoft Imagine Cup: Software Design competition in 2010.

Worked as a Security Consultant for SkillPages.com and a GPU-acceleration researcher for Distinct Consulting in Ireland.

In contrast to the many hours spent tinkering with code, IT Security and High Performance Computing, he enjoys pedantic remarks, music, books and going to the cinema in his rapidly diminishing spare time.
